All of a sudden, it\u2019s my son\u2019s Senior year and we are facing his high school graduation and empty nest syndrome. Where did that 18 years go?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that Piilani Highway traffic is still an issue when you are coming and going in and out of Kihei. The new roundabout is almost finished but the Northbound route is still merging into a single lane. It\u2019s best to avoid the times when we are all commuting from 7-8:30 AM and again from 3:00 to 5:30 PM. If you are trying to make a flight or dinner reservation, plan accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At our Board of Directors Meeting this week, we went over the details for the Owners week events and updated the information for Wednesday February 15<sup>th<\/sup>. Please note, if you haven\u2019t already, that time was adjusted to 1:00 PM which means the Pavilion will close at 11:00 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CJ Anthony, our Social Committee Chairperson, also announced that we will be hosting a Superbowl Party on Sunday February 12<sup>th<\/sup>. Super Bowl LVII will begin at 1:30 PM local time. We will provide some pizza and non-alcoholic beverages and encourage Owners and Registered Guests to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted to give a personal shout out with vast amounts of credit to our Owner, and Ekahi Webmaster, Charles Torre. If you didn\u2019t know already, Charles has been assisting with our Owners Portal Ekahi website for a few years now. His gracious spirit and willingness to help is a tremendous benefit to the AOAO office and our Owners. More recently, Charles was able to provide a GM blog on the Ekahi Website again so you can look for my communication on projects, Ekahi events and other community happenings. I receive information from MVCB, HTA, CCM and WCA and try to include their updates as well. When you log into the portal, please click on the header titled \u2018Notes from GM\u2019 which will link you directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/waileaekahi.com\/owners\/blog.php\">https:\/\/waileaekahi.com\/owners\/blog.php<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>January 24<sup>th<\/sup>-26<sup>th<\/sup> we will be closing Pool 2 located adjacent to the Pickleball Court for pool deck repairs and painting. January 31<sup>st<\/sup>-February 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, we will be closing Pool 3 for the same work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a few renovation projects underway and a couple more coming down the pike. When you do check the website, it\u2019s always good to look at \u2018current remodels\u2019 which lists Board approved work.
