During times like these, we are reminded that the Aloha Spirit is necessary to the well-being of not just Hawaiʻi, but the world, and that together we will not only endure adversity but overcome it—piece by piece, step by step.

I thank you all for your concerns, well wishes, calls, texts, and emails. Extended gratitude to our Owners that have been able to offer temporary shelter to Maui’s displaced residents.

While our mood has been subdued as the entire island collectively grieves, we realize that there is still work to do.

At our Pavilion, we had the bathroom doors painted, replaced the kickplates and got new signs. Currently our maintenance team is refinishing the floorboards in the men’s and ladies shower areas and painting some walls and other doors. We are excited to work with the Pavilion Committee on their initiatives including the ordering of new pool furniture to arrive in 2024.

In September, we will be painting the monument signs at each of our entrances and received support from Wailea Community Association to replace the old Wailea Green border with a color that matches our building exteriors. We will also get underway with the dethatching and aeration process of maintaining our beautiful greenbelt, or “The Fairway” as it has been affectionately named by a couple of owners.

Attached you will find:

July 19 minutes

July financials

I’ve had a few owners ask about volunteering while they are in Maui, and we realize the community efforts for rebuilding will take time. Once those opportunities present themselves, I will make sure to keep you all informed.

In the meantime, if you are able, please continue supporting these organizations:

Hawaii Community Foundation – Maui Strong Fund https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/strengthening/maui-strong-fund

Maui United Way – https://mauiunitedway.org/disasterrelief

American Red Cross of Hawaii – https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html/

Maui Food Bank – https://mauifoodbank.org/

Please don’t forget to send your thoughts and prayers to our Canadian Owners and friends that are also fearing for their communities and facing Wildfires in their regions.

At a time when our community is reeling from the devastation of the wildfires in Lāhainā and other parts of the island, we are witnessing Maui’s people come together to lift up our friends and neighbors in ways that no other community does.
