Our full calendar of events, Pavilion and Pool closures, and other Owner’s week information was circulated by CJ Anthony, our Board Secretary, on Friday January 17. It’s also available for download when you’re in the voting site. If you’re on Maui, we have sign up forms for the golf event and the owner’s dinner available at Evelyns office. Please make sure your guests are aware of the Pavilion closures and restrictions on use during owners’ week. Our Annual General Meeting is Friday February 13th and registration opens at 8:00 AM. Zoom information will be circulated in advance for owners who aren’t coming to Maui for this annual event.

The Ekahi website events calendar is actively updated and includes the exterior painting, pest control, and owner’s week event schedules.

We have a few owners on a waiting list for storage lockers and wanted to let you know that Building 51 will have storage available around March 1. The annual lease agreement requires full advance payment to the office. For the storage lockers coming available, yearly cost is about $1200. Please contact Evelyn directly with inquiries. If you currently have a locker at Ekahi, new agreements will soon be issued for March 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027. evelyn@waileaekahi.org

At the Board of Directors meeting last week, Design Committee Chair Susan Raterman-Easley presented the vendor selection for the pool deck resurfacing project planned for 2026. The project was awarded to Bellissimo Tile. The Pavilion Pool will be closed Monday August 10th through Thursday October 15, 2026. This will be loud and dusty work so please make sure your guests and agents are aware of this project. Our Beach access gate won’t be available, and pedestrian traffic will be directed to the public beach access at Keawakapu parking lot. Our Pavilion fitness center, bathrooms, showers, kitchen and BBQ’s will be accessible during the project, but it may not be a fun place to hang out during the day. The smaller pool will be open to everyone while this work is underway. We will relax noise enforcement at these outer pools and can add some extra pool furniture if we see demand for more chaise lounge chairs. There is similar work planned for 2027-2029 at the other pools, so please note that for your visits and rental schedules.

Community BBQ areas around Ekahi are seeing a lot of use this year as guests return to Maui and are finding convenient facilities close by their condos. Unfortunately, the electric grills placed in the new islands at the pools and greenbelt have broken, and we are expecting a new model with improved performance to arrive very soon. In the meantime, we have Building 47 and Pool 2, fully operational with both a propane and an alternative electric grill.

The lending library at the Beach Pavilion is another popular feature our visitors enjoy when they are here. Somehow, even the 2-3 cases of used books I personally donate each year find their way to your vacation rentals, and we have learned the housekeepers view these left items as personal property. Once they go up the hill to be read, we never see the books again. I’m hoping the spring cleaning of your condos will help fill the shelves with some relevant and current titles. We are always happy to come and collect the donated books from you, or you can bring them to the office if it’s convenient. Other recent enhancements at the Beach Pavilion include fresh orchids and plants thriving at the living wall, newly potted plants, and updated keiki books and games. Another large oval table is on order to be placed in front of the television with 6 chairs. This Spring, our crew will be planting 2-3 fledgling coconut palms at the Beach Pavilion adjacent to the BBQ area.

We circulated the quarterly interior pest control schedule a couple of weeks ago, so if your guests refuse access, you can contact Mid Pacific directly if you elect to re-schedule this service. 2026 termite inspections are on-going with the schedule also published on our website.

On Tuesdays, the Wailea Village Shops hosts a local craft fair and Ryan from Okoa Farms brings down a bounty of fresh produce from his farm upcountry. We are thrilled to announce the opening of Okoa Farm Shop at this location, which may include other fresh local goodies like eggs, sauces, dressings, flowers, juices and more. Between Choice Health Bar, and the new Okoa Farm Shop, staying healthy in Wailea just got easier!

Home

Don’t forget to tell your guests about the Ekahi Superbowl party hosted by the social committee on Sunday February 8th. I’m sure we have a few Seattle Seahawks fans around that will bring their spirit to face off against the New England Patriots. Kick off is scheduled around 1:30 PM.

Attached you will find:

Painting schedule and FAQ

Pest control schedules

Owners week packet

Minutes

Financials

Aloha Wailea Ekahi Homeowners By the time you receive this email, you should have gotten your invitation to our 2025 Election of Directors voting platform.
