Stormy weather passed us by as Lala and Moke both headed South of our islands, and we were pleased Wailea got the least impact of all. H Painting and Bellissimo were both prompt on Monday morning and got right back to work, keeping our exterior painting and pool deck tile projects running smoothly and on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Ekahi AOAO Owners Facebook has a strong user base with almost 150 owners, and I appreciate you checking that page for photos and weekly updates as the Pavilion pool deck tile replacement work progresses. We are active on this social media platform with events, staff highlights, and other fun Ekahi information. Our website doesn\u2019t have the capacity to view photographs but is another valuable resource with helpful tools including forms for work orders, alteration application updates, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Lala approached, we posted flyers reminding our guests that waileaekahi.com has emergency information available as a reference in case of extreme weather and other natural disasters. Guests don\u2019t have to log in to access this important info, it\u2019s available on the landing page with our site map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/waileaekahi.com\">https:\/\/waileaekahi.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social media has been rampant with weather watches and warnings about the Super El Nino pattern we are expecting this season, and we are paying close attention. It was a bit unsettling when our pool staff and security guards were speaking to guests, and they didn\u2019t have emergency information in the condo, nor were supplies like flashlights, ponchos, or batteries supplied. Please check your condo and remind your on-island agent to keep these items available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Special Meeting of the Board was more robust than we anticipated, with 14 alteration applications to review.&nbsp; All the recently approved applications have been updated onto the owner\u2019s portal, so please check that site before you call the office asking about construction noise next door. We work hard to keep that information current, and it includes details for extensive and unplanned repairs like leaks or termite mitigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/waileaekahi.com\/office\/list_remodel.php\">https:\/\/waileaekahi.com\/office\/list_remodel.php<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our next meeting of the Board is scheduled for September 17 at 9:30 AM HST, and we moved the October meeting to Thursday October 22, 2026, to allow for additional time for committee work and budget meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Top Gun is still on property doing stairwell and landing repairs in the upper phase. Bellissimo utilizes about 1\/3 of the parking area down by building 7 &amp; 8 for material staging and disposal daily, and H Painting is working up around buildings 46-47 for the next couple weeks. With 25 active alterations applications, that\u2019s a lot of contractor activity at Ekahi. For those of you unfamiliar with the contractor rules and guidelines, I have attached a copy for you here. We ask that this flyer remain posted while your condo is having work done. If you see contractors working on restricted weekends or after hours, please contact Security at 808-280-7198. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our AOAO office and maintenance shops will be closed on Monday September 7<sup>th<\/sup> in observance of Labor Day. If you have contractors scheduled, please remind them to take this day off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We got our new Ekahi uniforms delivered, and that means the new hires at the pool department will be easier to recognize in their bright blue polo\u2019s. You all know Jeff and Rylie by now, and earlier this year we welcomed Jimmy. The most recent hire is Jason, who came to us from Papa John\u2019s pizza, and is actively doing Doordash deliveries when he isn\u2019t working at Ekahi.
